Closures and cost savings boost Burberry profits

Burberry - which had 240 standalone stores at 31 March - has posted a 5% rise in adjusted annual operating profit to £467m after closing some directly-operated stores and outlets. The luxury fashion brand will maintain its manufacturing sites in Castleford and Keighley and has no plans to develop the 10 acres of land it owns in Leeds Southbank (Yorkshire Post/EGi)
